Thatcham Research has been at the forefront of vehicle security since the 1990s when it introduced the New Vehicle Security Assessment (NVSA) to address levels of vehicle crime and launched the Thatcham Categories for Alarm and Immobiliser systems that is now established as an industry benchmark.
As of 1 January 2019, all Thatcham Research security product assessments have been conducted under a new ‘Thatcham Security Certifications’ brand, an overarching service. The certification provides reassurance around the functionality, design and performance of alarms, immobilisers and tracking systems.
Sure-Track's MT3 falls within Thatcham's ‘Aftermarket’ category as an 'Asset Location System'. To ensure the MT3 met the stringent standards, it has been tested under the new Thatcham Security Certification.
After this testing, we are delighted to announce that the MT3 Wireless Theft Recovery Tracker was awarded with the new Thatcham Security Certification - S7.
Thatcham category S7 is the brand new classification for vehicle trackers that were previously considered category 7 or category 6. S7 vehicle trackers offer a whole range of features to track, trace and protect your vehicle.
This certification is in place to provide peace of mind that the tracker you are purchasing meets the highest standards, and, it even helps to reduce insurance premiums!
